Our Vision

Brumisthenics was founded with the belief that calisthenics can transform lives. Our vision is to create a movement that empowers people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds to unlock their physical and mental potential through bodyweight fitness.

We see calisthenics as more than exercise, it's a lifestyle that builds strength, creativity, discipline, and resilience. By combining accessible training with a strong sense of community, we want to make calisthenics a mainstream pathway for health and wellbeing.

Our long-term vision is to establish Brumisthenics as a hub for inclusive training, education, and community development. Whether through outdoor parks, school programmes, women's initiatives, or public events, we aim to inspire people to discover what their bodies are truly capable of, and to connect with others on the same journey.

We want Brumisthenics to be recognised not just as a fitness brand, but as a positive force for change, breaking barriers in health, fitness, and community engagement.

Our Purpose

At Brumisthenics, everything we do is rooted in purpose. Our mission is to:

Empower through movement: Equip people with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to take ownership of their health and fitness.

Champion inclusivity: Provide safe and supportive environments where everyone can participate and progress.

Engage communities: Use calisthenics as a tool to connect with young people, schools, and local organisations.

Promote sustainability in fitness: Encourage training methods that rely on minimal equipment and natural movement.

Inspire the next generation: Create pathways for young people to learn, compete, and grow within a supportive community.

Celebrate diversity: Showcase the many ways calisthenics can be adapted - from creative freestyle to strength-based training.

Ultimately, our purpose is to show that fitness is more than a personal journey - it's a collective one. Brumisthenics exists to help individuals become stronger, healthier, and more confident, while building a culture of support and togetherness that reaches far beyond the bars.

It was my first time going and as someone with 0 upper body strength I was quite nervous. The instructors are so supportive and the group were very welcoming. I wanted to gate-keep but they deserve their flowers. Make sure you go to the next class!

Great class and teachers. Even the other people there for the class were supportive. First time coming along to the class/workshop and there is something for everyone. They modified the circuits using the resistant bands for extra support which was useful and effective for me. Will be back again. Nice community!

Frequently Asked Questions

Brumisthenics is more than just training — it's a community built around calisthenics. Our goal is to bring people together, push each other, and grow as athletes and individuals through bodyweight strength training. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, we improve together and celebrate progress as a team.

Not at all. Everyone is welcome — from complete beginners to advanced athletes. Our sessions are designed so each person can train at their own level while still being part of the group. We learn, progress, and motivate each other every step of the way.

Together we train the full spectrum of calisthenics — from the basics like pull-ups, dips, and push-ups, to advanced skills such as planche, front lever, and handstands. Alongside strength, we also build mobility, endurance, and freestyle creativity.

Consistency is key. Many members train 3–4 times a week, but it depends on your goals and lifestyle. The community atmosphere makes it easier to stay motivated and stick to a regular routine.

Minimal to no equipment is needed — it really depends on how creative you can be. We'd advise resistance bands, liquid chalk, and maybe a pair of parallettes, but those are for preference more than anything. Access to a pull-up and/or dip bar would be most effective for your training.

Yes! Calisthenics builds strong, lean, and functional muscle. Training with the group also pushes you further, helping you reach levels you might not hit on your own.

With consistent training and support from the community, most people start to see and feel results within 4–8 weeks. The encouragement of training alongside others often accelerates progress.

Yes — we offer 1-to-1 guidance and online support from a variety of skilled coaches that cover all the bases of calisthenics for individuals that want extra focus within their training. Community being the core, we run group sessions where we all train together, learn new skills, and motivate one another.

Definitely. Calisthenics is a powerful way to burn calories, build strength, and improve body composition. Training with the group adds accountability, making it easier to stay consistent and achieve your goals.
